About Me
Hi there. I’m a professional corporate photographer living in Hong Kong.
For over fifteen years I’ve has worked with communications directors, creative directors and photo editors to craft images for editorial publications, annual reports, corporate image libraries, branding campaigns and web site content for corporate clients in Hong Kong, China, and the world. My vast experience allows me to apply my skill across many different disciplines and I am as well known for my lifestyle and editorial photography as for my corporate work.
I am sought after by art directors and clients for my easygoing and creative shooting style.
My rates are competitive with other Hong Kong photographers of equal merit and will be happy to work with clients in arriving at a comfortable budget.
My Story
My photography journey started when I left the United States to ‘travel the world’ in late 1990. My travels brought me through the South Pacific to New Zealand, Australia, up through Asia, and on to Osaka, Japan where I landed a job teaching English.
Japan is where my photography really blossomed. I befriended photographers there where we would share our photos, techniques, and travel stories. I was mostly shooting travel and street photography. I had darkroom equipment and every week developed and printed photos in my apartment.
I left Japan a few years later on a boat to China armed with a backpack, a couple cameras and loads of film. On that trip I hitchhiked across China, into Tibet, Nepal and India. Bought a cheap bicycle in a market in Kathmandu and cycled across the Himalayas through Nepal, India, Pakistan and back into China.Finally ending up in Hong Kong in 1998.
In Hong Kong in addition to shooting a lot of black and white and again developed and printed photos in my apartment, I met and started assisting professional photographers in their studios and on location to learn lighting and corporate photography.
I continue to travel whenever I can and though I still have my darkroom equipment I’m almost exclusively shooting digital these days.

PRICING
The key to staying in business is as much about creating long term relationships as it is taking great pictures. I do this by keeping my agreements and delivering great pictures in a timely fashion.
COSTS AND BUDGET
Most shoots are priced on a job by job basis as expenses vary depending on the needs of the client. Some jobs can be bid by the hour, some are by half or full day rates. My rates are based on the type of shoot, how the images will be used, the time involved, and the level of complexity. I prefer to bid projects on a flat fee basis to keep the process as simple and predictable as possible for the client.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
I often travels on assignment and always at a very reasonable travel rate.
OTHER PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES, PRODUCTION & LOGISTICS
In addition to my commercial work, I also provide photography services editorial and travel, family portraiture and weddings.
I have worked on simple and more complex projects, and can handle or assist in all aspects of your production. I can help provide make-up and hair, prop and wardrobe styling, location scouting, rental and permits, catering, hiring talent, etc.
